LOS ANGELES, Calif. — April 14,2026 —
Singer-songwriter, Periel Lexien, will release her new single and music video, “The Earth Is My Church,” in conjunction with Earth Day to declare that every day is Earth Day. In the song, she asserts: “I’m not an atheist, it’s just the reverse. I’m a human soul on a spiritual search. The Earth is my church.” The track was inspired by her personal journey exploring spirituality within organized religion, and the disillusionment she experienced with the hypocrisy and corruption she observed, both historically and currently, that lead her to transcend the bounds of dogma and awaken to find higher consciousness in nature and in the eyes of animals.
The song suggests that moving beyond rigid doctrine can lead to freedom: a spirituality rooted in nature, reverence for all living beings, and a recognition of our innate connection to the Divine through nature and universal love.
Periel, a self-described “pop philosopher,” creates music that distills existential themes into accessible, danceable, three-minute manifestos delivered with equal measures of sincerity and swagger, irreverence and reverence. Her work invites listeners to break out from societal conditioning, reflect, heal, and reconnect—with themselves, with nature, all living beings, and with a deeper sense of meaning. Her chosen name reflects her artistic mission, drawing from mythological and mystical traditions associated with bridging the earthly and the Divine.
