The band, famed for their ‘Fog On The Tyne’ album and evergreen hits like “Meet Me On The Corner”, have added more dates to their 2026 UK tour.
Fronted by co-founder Rod Clements, the ever-popular Geordies are back on the road this year with a winning repertoire of memorable songs in performances, ranging from the cheerfully-upbeat to the-soulfully poignant, trademarking this iconic band since its formation in Newcastle in 1970.
Lindisfarne’s pioneering sound, fusing acoustic folk to blues-infused rock, has proven the perfect medium for its catchy songs.
Seventies’ hits “Lady Eleanor”, “Run For Home” and “Fog On The Tyne” continue to resonate down the years while the Clements-penned “Meet Me On The Corner” paved the way for the band’s classic ‘Fog On The Tyne’ to become the UK’s top-selling album of 1972.
Further acclaimed albums were to follow, buoyed up by crowd-pleasing performances fuelled by audience interaction lending Lindisfarne an enviable reputation as festival favourites, its annual Christmas concerts held in its native Newcastle becoming the stuff of legend.
Many of the band’s songs were written by late co-founder Alan Hull, whose legacy is a hallmark of every one of the group’s concerts.
In his BBC TV documentary ‘Lindisfarne’s Geordie Genius’, rising star Sam Fender’s mission to win back Hull’s place in music history included interviews with fans Sting, Elvis Costello, Mark Knopfler, Dave Stewart and Peter Gabriel.

In 2026, Lindisfarne are set to entertain with an extensive repertoire of world-renowned songs delivered in the inimitably engaging way that has trademarked the band’s stage act right back to 1970.

Today’s Lindisfarne comprises a classic five-piece line up of long-standing members fronted by original founder-member Rod Clements (vocals, mandolin, fiddle, slide guitar), Steve Daggett (vocals, guitars, keyboards), Paul Smith (drums), Steve Cunningham (bass) and Alan Hull’s son-in-law Dave Hull-Denholm (vocals, guitars, piano).
