Nathan Bryce and Loaded Dice will release “Drunk Dial Baby” on Friday, February 13th, 2026. The track takes a late night text situation and turns it into a blues funk groove that laughs through the sting and just rolls with it.
We’ve all been there. The phone lights up late at night with “You up?” and you know exactly what’s happening. “Drunk Dial Baby” captures that moment with humor, a killer groove, and just enough heartache to keep it real. “She only calls me after a couple shots of whiskey,” Bryce sings, painting a picture of a relationship that only exists when the bars close and the inhibitions drop.
The track is a departure from the heavier blues rock stomp that Nathan Bryce and Loaded Dice are known for. This one moves with funk in the rhythm section and soul in the melody. Jerry Paswaters’ bass line keeps things locked in tight while Dylan Halacy’s drums push the pocket. Bryce’s guitar work weaves through the verses before lighting up the chorus like, well, the Fourth of July.
Lyrically, “Drunk Dial Baby” walks that line between funny and painful. There’s the moonshine mouth, the lipstick and quick wit, the dopamine rush of seeing her name on the screen even when you know better. “She just wants a little rock and roll to fill the holes in her soul,” Bryce sings in the bridge, summing up the whole situation in one line. And the kicker? “I’ll pick up that phone. Every. Damn. Time.”
The Kansas City trio has spent the last three years on the road as the backing band and supporting act for Australian guitar prodigy Taj Farrant, playing shows across the U.S. and internationally. Now they’re stepping out on their own, bringing their energetic mix of classic rock, blues, and Southern rock influences to stages nationwide.
“Drunk Dial Baby” will be available on all streaming platforms Friday, February 13th, 2026; it is not one to miss!
