About the Album:
Out now, God Bless America – Best of Thirsty is a striking release that celebrates Bailey’s life, work, and creative spirit. The title track recounts the haunting true story of Rosemary Kennedy, set to Irina D’s vivid lyrics and Bailey’s evocative guitar motif – a cinematic blend of romance and tragedy. Spike delivers one of his most emotionally charged performances to date, echoing the grit of Springsteen and the subversive power of Hendrix.
The album revisits Thirsty’s most ambitious storytelling pieces – Donnie to Sonny, Flawless, Albatross, Chaos, and Orlando – each newly voiced and remixed under Kimsey’s direction. As Kimsey notes, “Spike’s voice has always complemented Guy’s guitar perfectly – this record illuminates that chemistry beautifully.”
